USC College
Details
The USC College website is most definitely the largest project I have ever taken part in. The site was completely overhauled over a nearly 10 month period which included a full re-design as well as re-development of the entire site structure. The entire site is completely dynamic and driven by a fully custom CMS system. There are over 2,500 pages built on top of a 20 page template system. All pages have a full revision and approval system built in. All pages also have widgets which are fully dynamic and can incorporate and endless number of widgets. The site also features a fully dynamic news section with over 1,000 news stories, videos, galleries, podcasts, and much much more content. Overall the site is monstrous (hence the 10 month timeframe).
My role in the project was to primarily develop the entire site. I was also the project manager and client liaison throughout. Finally, I also architected the new site structure to incorporate all the required functionality that USC required. Some of the additional functionality required included a caching system and integration with many legacy ColdFusion applications that are currently used on the site.
Overall the project was a resounding success.
